In January of 2015, I quit my job as a Pattern Maker for a large fashion company in San Francisco to “pursue my own ventures”. That’s what I tell people anyway — “pursue my own ventures”. My husband came up with that phrase first, and I quickly nuzzled up to it as my go-to slogan when prompted. In reality, it was so vague of an explanation that even I didn’t have a concrete idea of what it really meant. I just knew that I wanted to, and could do, more. I had these fuzzy, nebulous ideas (delusions?) in my head, and I needed a radical change in my unremarkable routine in order to even begin to tease them out.
I designed the site to merge my two true devotions: fashion and food. Fashion is my field; food, I seek to explore. This blog is an endeavor on its own, but it also intends to be a sort of an account and reflection of other ideas in progress. Some ideas will be big, some will be small, some will probably amount to nothing. Nonetheless, it’s vital for me to get them out, however hazy, so that I can start to make sense of it all.
